Although a divorce, separation or annulment can only be obtained through the Supreme Court, many family or domestic matters, especially those involving non-married parties, can be handled by the Family Court. This includes issues involving custody, visitation, child support, domestic violence, orders of protection, paternity, juvenile and PINS matters, adoptions and guardianships.
