Ms. Thomas is a Partner in our Litigation Group and is Chair of the firm's Personal Injury Litigation Department. She has been a trial attorney for over 25 years. Her practice is focused in civil litigation including personal injury, medical malpractice, hospital malpractice nursing home negligence, wrongful death, motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, motorcycle accidents, premises liability, construction site accidents, dog bites, commercial and estate litigation. Ms. Thomas is knowledgable in the area of insurance coverage litigation and represents insurance policy holders in coverage dispute litigation against their insurance companies. She has also represented policy holders as "excess counsel" in cases where clients do not have adequate insurance coverage. She is the Chair of our Risk Management Committee and has a detailed understanding of contingency planning issues.

Jacqueline has achieved the Martindale-Hubbell “Distinguished Attorney” rating and has received a rating of "Excellent" from AVVO. She has been included in Who’s Who in American Law and Cambridge’s Who’s Who Among Executive and Professional Women, Honors Edition. She is a member of the Albany Law School Justinian Society and a past recipient of the West Publishing Award. She has acheived membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a distiinction reserved for attorneys who have acheived verdicts or settlements of at least a million dollars.
Jacqueline has lectured on topics related to personal injury litigation, medical malpractice and legal ethics. She has lectured to other attorneys for the New York State Bar Association and the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers. She has lectured medical professionals at the University of Rochester School of Nursing. She has served as a volunteer judge for collegiate level mock trial and appellate arguments.
Jacqueline has been on the Board of Trustees for the Aquinas Institute since 1999. She is a founding member and serves as Vice President of the Board of Trustees of the Justinian Order of St. John Fisher College in Rochester. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Monroe County Bar Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers' Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York, the Greater Rochester Association of Women Attorneys, and the National Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.
Jacqueline resides in Spencerport, New York, with her family.
