Elder Law and Asset Protection Services
Terry helps seniors and their children develop and implement strategies to protect assets when one or both seniors are in a skilled nursing home, or are likely to need nursing home care. For 17 years, the Elder Law and Medicaid Planning Practice Group Terry created has dedicated itself to managing the asset protection plans he and the other attorneys in the practice group create, to assure that each Medicaid application is prosecuted properly. Terry and his team use a variety of strategies that include outright gifts, Medicaid permitted trusts, supplemental needs trusts, loans, annuities, Powers of Attorney, Wills and deeds to accomplish these goals. Terry’s team prepares each Medicaid application, appears at each Medicaid interview, reviews and gathers every single document necessary to prosecute a Medicaid application, and reviews each Medicaid determination to make sure each case is properly opened.
Trust and Estate Planning, and Estate Administration Services
Terry also prepares documents essential to everyone, including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Proxies, as well as the documents necessary to probate an estate and related administration services, or work with families to avoid probate where appropriate.
