On Wednesday April 24th, as part of the firm’s Staff Appreciation week, Lacy Katzen held its annual cook-off. Participants entered a dish into one of three categories: appetizer, entrée or dessert. Everything from Hot Artichoke Dip to Wine- Braised Oxtail, delicious Pecan Pralines, and homemade Fruit Tarts were on the menu.
Lacy Katzen attorneys and staff taste tested the cook-off contestants’ dishes and cast their votes; votes were later tallied to determine first and second place winners in each category. Winners were presented with an award certificate for their winning dish.
First place winners were: Adrienne Kiley for her Buffalo Chicken Wing Dip appetizer, Collin Doane for his Wine-Braised Oxtail entrée and Joshua Levitt with an outstanding Fruit Tart dessert.
Second place winners in each category were: Sarah DiChiara for her Hot Artichoke Dip, Mary Nault for her Stuffed Shells entrée and Christine Potter for her Pecan Pralines dessert.
Other delicious dishes included Pizza Casserole, Macaroni and Cheese, Mashed Potato Salad, Spicy Ranch Chicken Dip, Artichoke Asiago Dip, Heavenly Oreo Dessert, Chocolate Peanut Butter Macaroons, Caramel Brownie Bites, a veggie tray, fresh fruit and pasta salad. There was plenty of food for everyone to enjoy and taste test.
In a note to the event organizers Sherry Rettew and Wendy ‘t Sas, managing partner Peter Rodgers shared “This was a wonderful event. Great spirit among our employees and participants. Thank you, Sherry and Wendy for your creativity and coordination.”
